Greetings to all readers and followers of our BLOG!

We are announcing a new column "VETERINARY ADVICE AND PET HEALTH", which will be led by univ.mag.med.vet and our friend and personal veterinarian of all our cats, Sanela Samec-Komljenović. Today we will present her with her interesting and impressive CV.

The following is her short biography:

I was born on January 18, 1979. in Bjelovar (Europe-Croatia). Since early childhood, I have shown a tendency to help animals, inherited from my mother. We have always had many animals and regularly adopted animals that have difficulty finding a home. This is how I encounter diseases such as scabies or microsporidiosis. After graduating from high school, I return to the desire and love from my childhood and enroll in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Right at the beginning, I realized that this is what I want to do all my life and that it is the right choice for me.

In each year of study, I was the winner of the "DEAN'S AWARD FOR THE BEST STUDENT "of the Year, and in 2002 I received the "DEAN'S AWARD" for the work that I did together with my colleague Tomislava Reberski on the topic: "Some peculiarities of the dynamics of the city pigeon (Columba livia domestica)".

After graduating, I got a job in the veterinary clinic "Majcan" as a field veterinarian, and since 2008 I have been working in the clinic for pets at the same clinic.

I am constantly upgrading my knowledge, first with a specialist postgraduate study in internal medicine of pets, which gives me the title of univ.mag.med.vet., And later by constant education at organized gatherings in the field of small practice and constant monitoring of online webinars in my profession.

After this impressive biography, we are announcing the first topic that will be discussed in our new column, and that is "THE IMPORTANCE OF VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS". We also invite you to suggest topics in your comments that you would like to read about in this section.

We will try to fulfill all your wishes written in the comments and we hope that our dear Dr. SANELA will meet all your expectations in the form of quality texts about pets, and especially about dogs and cats.
